The Gables Restaurant, Irvine: Fit for a King

March 19, 2008 · Print This Article

The Gables RestaurantThe Gables restaurant situated at the back of The Kings Arms Hotel in the town centre of Irvine is a very popular eating place both during the day for lunch and at night for evening meals. It’s owners the Scott family, have created a warm relaxing feeling in the restaurant complete with young friendly staff who are always very helpful.

They have a varied lunch time menu offering such delights as steak pie, haddock in batter, chicken curry, homemade burger and lots more. There is also a lunchtime snack menu available with a selection of wraps and panini’s great for a quick bite on your office lunch break.

The main evening menu has some of the old time favourites like fish and chips, chicken encroute and steak and for the more adventurous there’s something different like the fajitas with chicken or beef. I would personally recommend the surf and turf, a full locally produced 8oz fillet steak with king prawns, absolutely delicious.

So if its a nice romantic meal for two or just a lunch time bite give the Gables a try.

The picture with that great looking desert was taken at the Gables?
